During his election campaign, Barack Obama let it slip that he is a huge fan of Spiderman comics. Their creators, Marvel, got to hear about this, and released a Barack Obama Special Inauguration Edition of the comic to coincide with his inauguration as President. In the Special Edition, Spidey foils an attempt to replace Obama at his inauguration with an imposter, thus saving the world from certain doom. This special edition was so popular that every copy sold out well in advance of it's release, and so Marvel decided to issue another printing of it, with a different cover. This also sold out, as did the 3rd 4th and 5th printings, each with different variant covers, as can be seen here. These comics are the full set - all five special editions, plus the original issue #583, which includes the story as well, as an extra at the rear of the comic. These are quite literally the most popular, and therefore the hardest to get a hold of, comics on the planet today. Most of the issues went straight into the hands of serious collectors, and as a result very few are now available to the mass market. A full set such as this is even harder to find. All of the comics are in brand new, unread condition, and come fully bagged and boarded.
