Dragon Rider (SPECIAL) >>> Collector's Copy <<<
Signed, with a doodle of a Dragon and a promotional bookmark - VERY RARE, CORNELIA FUNKE
1 CORNELIA FUNKE Dragon Rider (SPECIAL) >>> Collector's Copy <<<
Signed, with a doodle of a Dragon and a promotional bookmark - VERY RARE

United Kingdom Chicken House 2004 1903434904 / 9781903434901 1st Edition Hardback with Dust jacket New/Unread Dust jacket - New Children's Fiction Fantasy 1st Printing SIGNED - WITH DRAGON DRAWING
We have pleasure in presenting a very exclusive copy of this extremely popular children's book written by Cornelia Funke.

Two of her books, The Thief Lord (2002) and Inkheart (2003) have been given the Hollywood treatment, exactly like "Harry Potter" and were made into highly successful films in the last few years.

"Dragon Rider" was written just after these two books in 2004.

This copy is so sought after because, not only is it signed with her FULL NAME and is also dated extremely near the date of publication, it has a drawing of the Dragon itself and an exclusive promotional bookmark.

Only 2 or 3 copies of this book were doodled with the dragon's head like this and also over time her signature has changed and got shorter to C.Funke, so it makes this very collectable indeed.

A super investment for a Children's Fiction collector or general book collector

Although we believe that this is a competitive price for this item, we are open to reasonable offers for it. Please contact us for more details.

Dragon Rider >>> Collector's Copy <<< US SLIPCASE Edition - Factory Sealed, CORNELIA FUNKE
2 CORNELIA FUNKE Dragon Rider >>> Collector's Copy <<< US SLIPCASE Edition - Factory Sealed
UK Chicken House 2004 0439743362 / 9780439743365 US Slipcase Edition Hardcover with slipcase New Fiction/Fantasy
Cornelia Funke is known as Germany's J.K.Rowling and is indeed a contemporary of the great lady.

Two of her books, The Thief Lord (2002) and Inkheart (2003) were indeed given the same Hollywood treatment as "Harry Potter", with Brendan Fraser in the lead role and many other famous actors in supporting roles.

This book was written in 2004 and is a US Hardback with Slipcase Edition, still factory sealed, as it was when it left the publisher. As a result, both the book and the slipcase are completely untouched and the plastic sealed cover unbroken.

This is fantastic buy for a Cornelia Funke collector or a collector of children's fiction.

Although we believe that this is a competitive price for this item, we are open to reasonable offers for it. Please contact us for more details.

Gillian Cross is one of the UK's top children's authors, and has won every major children's book prize. She is highly acclaimed internationally.

In "The Dark Ground", Robert is alone, in a strange jungle. He has no food, no shelter, no warmth. Unfamiliar creatures are roaming about - and he's not even sure how he got there...

Following the story of Robert's struggle for survival, through to his extraordinary realization of where he is and what has happened to him and then to his perilous journey to find his way home.

This is such an unusual adventure/fantasy story, it is gripping right from the start and you will not want to put it down until you have finished.

Although it gradually dawned on me what had happened to Robert, it was still so surprising and written with such imagination, that I couldn't wait to read book 2 in this trilogy "The Black Room" to find out what happened next.
